Joseph Strelly Harris : ウィキペディア英語版
Joseph Strelley Harris
Joseph Strelley Harris was the second resident magistrate for Sussex and Vasse in the south-west of Western Australia from 1861 to 1880. He had a number of disputes with the Town Trust members and its chairman, David Earnshaw, over the new Queen Street, and organised the volunteer effort responsible for planting the street's picturesque avenue of peppermint trees. He proposed the laying of the main road from The Vasse to Bridgetown.
Harris was the resident magistrate in Toodyay from 1850 to 1861.
Harris died in late 1889.
